The Payette school system has a history of producing an excellent, well-rounded education. Graduates of Payette include a US Senator, a retired Chief Executive officer of a Fortune 500 Corporation, a Hall of Fame baseball player, and a Rhodes Scholar just to name a few. The State's obligation in funding public school districts, however, is not to provide excellence in education, but merely to support a basic school program.
The Payette Education Foundation (PEF) wants to help the District go beyond a basic minimum program in academic and extracurricular offerings to provide the children of Payette with the very best education possible. The Foundation is working towards excellence in education in Payette by providing another avenue for contributions on behalf of the Payette Public Schools.
PEF is conservatively managed by a Board of Directors composed of community members. Donations of cash or property will be accepted with the intent to build an endowment fund from which only earnings will be allocated to the Payette school system.
A contribution, whether from a corporation or an individual, is eligible as a tax deduction.
